Brochure informs the Public about Abortionist Working at a Catholic Hospital
ProLifeCorner- La Crosse, Wis. Oct 10 2016—The Catholic Church is crystal clear about its teaching on abortion—the willful murder of a child in the womb. A grassroots pro-life group, La Crosse Life League, is placing this teaching front and center on a newly released brochure.
“Since the first century the Catholic Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion.” “This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or as a means is gravely contrary to the moral law. Human life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception. Abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes”
This same teaching serves as a guiding principle for the La Crosse Life League members as they seek to alert the public to the fact that abortionists can inform women on abortion at Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare, La Crosse, WI. As the brochure states: No abortions are performed at Mayo/Franciscan which is a Catholic Hospital, having Sponsorship by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, a Catholic order headquartered in La Crosse.
The La Crosse Life League’s Mission Statement is: “Recognizing God as the Creator of all life, we work to increase respect and protection of all human life from conception to natural death, in all conditions, through prayer and peaceful action.”
“Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse is a Catholic institution which has agreed to abide by the Ethical and Religious Directives (ERDs) of the Catholic Church. See: www.usccb.org . The brochure states: “By allowing abortionists, to “inform mothers in high risk pregnancies of all options including abortion,” they are violating the ERD’s. This is unacceptable
The La Crosse Life League, offers the public a quick and easy reference guide, via the “Expose Mayo” brochure, to respond to the questions that some people are asking.
People began protesting on Ash Wednesday 2014 after a mother in a high-risk pregnancy discovered that Carl Rose, a perinatologist, (that is, an obstetrics/gynecologist who deals with high-risk pregnancies), is being allowed to work at Mayo/Franciscan in La Crosse WI. . When he is in Rochester, MN he does perform abortions. At the medical directory website Lifescript.com, Rose is listed as one of the “Doctors in Rochester, MN who treat or diagnose Abortion” Abortions are performed at the Mayo Hospital in MN. In this brochure, the organizers use a Question-and-Answer format, as well as to make clear what’s at stake in this controversy.
